I’m imagining that Bumble and Tom were previously an item, but Tom was an abusive piece of garbage and Bumble managed to escape him with the help of others who she had helped, which in turn led to Tom getting essentially exiled into the forest because “fuck you, you hurt Bumble, you deserve to be at the mercy of Star Flower and her beast”.

This is likely where Turtle Tail met Tom, and because she didn’t know any better, she helped him return home because she’s Big, Bad, and Buff so few street cats were willing to approach. On her way back, she encounters Bumble, who warns her about Tom, and Turtle Tail comes back to see Bumble multiple times before Tom reveals his true, awful, possessive colors and gets absolutely bodied again.

And then maybe also Star Flower in the past, but is this true? I’ll let y’all decide lol

Limbo

I am excited about this, as Limbo is a concept I created back when I was much worse at writing but still holds up in my eyes.

Limbo is also called "The Endless Cold", as it is perpetually leaf-fall there. It is a sprawling expanse of territories, many times larger than the lake or the forest. Surrounding this is thick fog, which only certain cats can go through.

When new cats arrive, Limbo expands, and the fog pulls back to reveal more land.

Kittypets, loners, and rouges go to this afterlife once they die. If a clan cat rejects StarClan but isn't evil, this is also where they may go.

Limbo is a sort of second chance. You can never die, but wounds take longer to heal, and the worse you were in life the weaker you are in Limbo.

Prey is semi-scarce, but it's there. You can't have kits, but adoption is common there.

Of course, this isn't without a guardian.

A massive beast roams the land, welcoming newcomers and stopping those who might try to take over this land.

A hyena. The kittypets call it Snickers.

The land itself is alive.

Limbo has no worshippers, the closest thing would be The Sisters, who's blood carries a strong bond with the afterlife.

There are plenty of residents from the canonical warriors series. (TW for some horror)

Tom did not follow StarClan. When he died, he woke in a lonely land, able to count his ribs. He's still lonely.

Bumble also did not follow StarClan, and roams the land caring for the kits there, helping them feel loved instead of lost and alone..

Scourge did not follow StarClan. Even fully grown cats run away at the sight of this walking skeleton.

Cody did not follow StarClan. She thought of the clan cats often throughout her life, and learned tidbits of information from others in her death, becoming a healer that would ease the pain of wounds.

I’m generally curious, have you seen and/or heard about what Kate Cary said about Tom, the character who !abused! Turtle Tail and Bumble in DoTC?

And if so, what do you think about it?

And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, someone posted photos and the link to them on Tumblr of Kate Cary saying some uh - abuse apologist-like stuff when talking about Tom.

Anyways I’m SO sorry if the information in this ask disturbed you at all. I pretty much wanted to inform you about this, because it’s - yeah, it’s recently been posted onto Tumblr and the stuff that Kate Cary stated about Tom and abusers is not good.

I don't want to be rude but I have stated many times that I've not and are not planning to read DOTC, both here and in my videos so if you ask me stuff like "What do you think about this DOTC character?" or "What do you think of this thing that happend in DOTC?" 90% of the time I won't have an answer

But yeah I've heard of it and I am not really suprised or disturbed. DOTC is incredibly misogynistic (from what I've heard) and so are the authors. This was honestly bound to happend, shit like this is why I want to ultimatly distance myself from the series.
